- Some music while setting up and before starting the discussion:
“The Most Unwanted Music” by Komar, Melamid, and Dave Soldier
“Dans la Radio” by Jacques
“Horse” by Salvatore Ganacci
“Aulos” by Vladimir Cauchemar - High school senior Kaylee Timonet appeared dancing at a party not related to school in a video that her principal found out about. With a GPA of 4.2, she had a scholarship that the principal was going to recommend her for, but rescinded the offer due to her dancing. The principal also removed her from her student government position, as well as provided her with bible verses when she was called to his office. This was at a public school.
- Discussion on the war between Israel and Hamas.
- The idea that 200 years from now, the violence and wars happening now will be thought about just as much as we think about the War of 1812.
- The idea that 9/11 was “justifiable,” that only 3000+ died, while the US has killed millions of civilians in unjust wars.
- The war crimes and violence the US had perpetrated on civilians in Vietnam, Iraq, and the Middle East were touched upon.
- WARNING: Second link contains of dead
Questioning the condemnation of Hamas and what of what the US has done.
Casualties of the Iraq War vary, likely over 200,000. There are also claims that sanctions following the Gulf War led to the deaths of 500,000 children. During the Vietnam War, it’s estimated over 200,000 civilians were killed in combat and during bombing runs, and the Vietnamese government claims that the 400,000 were killed or maimed by the use of 18.2 million gallons of Agent Orange, as well as 500,000 infants with birth defects. - WARNING: Photos of injured and dead
Not mentioned was the US being the only country to use atomic bombs in war, killing around 200,000 civilians. - WARNING: Video of civilians being killed by US forces
As mentioned in the meeting, this is the video of a US helicopter firing on civilians who were carrying cameras which are mistaken as weapons. When a van arrives to take the wounded to hospital, it too is fired on, killing more. There were children in the van as well. The soldiers laugh throughout, including when a tank rolls over a body. 12 died.
