- Mentioned the group needing officers for re-registration, Andrew assumed the role as Vice President, and Jake took Treasurer.
- Mentioned savants who suffered brain injuries which resulted in Acquired Savant Syndrome such as Daniel Tammet who could visualize numbers and combine the shapes in his brain in order to do math, as well as learn languages quickly and fluently including Icelandic.
- Mentioned Phineas Gage who survived a metal rod piercing through his brain, before he’d died 12 years later of a seizure.
- Mentioned Anatoli Bugorski who survived when he stuck his head into a particle accelerator which shot a proton beam through his brain, resulting in half of his face halting aging, possibly due to facial paralysis.
- Mentioned Sri Chinmoy, a spiritual leader who met with English royalty, celebrities, and owned a cult-run Indian restaurant in Queens, NY. Although claiming to be celibate, he was also embroiled in accusations of sexual abuse by his female disciples. He demonstrated his spiritual expression through “music”, poems, 1500+ books, and weight lifting. His would orchestrate elaborate expositions of spiritually infused strength by lifting planes, elephants, groups of people, and even Nelson Mandela. The trick, though, was that he’d lift everything using leverage.
- Joked around a bit regarding numbers, the love of math, which lead to a claim of being able to count to a billion. By a calculator, assuming an optimistic lifetime of 85 years and counting one number a second, calculated 85 years * 365.25 days a year * 24 hours per day * 60 minutes per hour * 60 seconds per hour to come up with 2,682,396,000 seconds. Given delay in starting and current age, the counter would need to count non-stop for the rest of their life in order to accomplish it. Mr. Beast was brought up as counting to 100,000. A suggestion was made to just count to 10 repeatedly to keep from having to say the full number out, allowing for counting as fast as possible.
- The conversation led to the audio torture and violated ear holes during the previous meeting in playing “The Most Unwanted Song,” which led to playing some of it again, focusing on the parts that the kids sing about “Labor Day,” “Halloween,” and “Yom Kippur.”
- Referring to further music lead to Shed Theory’s “Goid” and Download’s “Sidewider” as the meeting ended. Afterwards, further musical explorations were made with Rudimentary Peni’s album Death Church, Band Maid’s “No God,” Tatsuro Yamashita’s “Sparkle” and “Bomber,” Akiko Yano’s song about David Sylvian from the band Japan called “David,” Jacques’ “Dans la Radio,” and finally Pan & Polo’s “Dorothy.”
