Minutes
- Poorly prepared, last minute presentation on Christopher Hitchens, followed by randomly trying to find a few clips on YouTube, including one expecting him to be an “atheist in a foxhole“.
- Discussed the biblically-scaled Noah’s Ark museum that was built by Answers in Genesis’ Ken Ham, which Bill Nye attended and questioned the science of.
- Mentioned the 1928 production of Noah’s Ark that in order to have an accurate flood scene released an epic amount of water on thousands of extras, one of them being John Wayne, which resulted in the deaths of three extras and dozens of ambulances to treat multiple injuries.
- A brief mention of GWAR and Oderus Urungus lead to watching a clip of him on FOX news as a guest correspondent.
- Watched the Christian Banana Man clip which claimed hilariously that the banana was made so perfectly, it even had a handle.
- Pointed out the Resources section of the ASCW.org website.
- Mentioned what moils traditionally do, taking the infant’s genitals into their mouth which has caused some babies to become infected with herpes.
- Brought up images of what Jesus would have looked like, refuting the notion that he would have been white.
- A brief moment of joking on hair styling led a mention of electronic musician Jacques.
- Discussion on the impact of religious families.
- Watched and discussed a bit about Annie Laurie Gaylor and Dan Barker meeting on Oprah, and the Freedom From Religion Foundation.
- A brief mention of the industrial band Ministry’s song “Jesus Built My Hotrod” led to playing a few seconds from the music video.
- Discussed the Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) and Fred Phelps, how they represent what happens if you try to follow the bible literally and completely.
- Pulled up the now-defunct “God Hates Shrimp” parody website that took aim at the WBC.
- Mentioned more about jesus.com being sold off to Christians, and rebranded as datejesus.com (recently defunct), and his seeking of women to bathe with him.
